This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. To serve in AmeriCorps you must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Please do not inquire if you do not meet these requirements.
The Coweeman Student Success Coordinator will help us increase our support for students who would be the first in their families to attend college. Duties include:
- Collaborate with the AVID team to identify students in need of additional support.
- Tutor students in core academic subjects individually or in small group settings.
- Provide classroom-based support for AVID.
- Direct students during transition times and after school and conduct both formal and informal check ins with students.
- Mentor students to develop essential academic skills such as organization, study habits, goal-setting, and more.
- Collect and track student engagement and achievement data.
Monthly stipend: $2,571
