Information for On-Campus Employers

Career and Professional Development (CPD), along with the Office of Financial Aid, is here to support faculty and staff in promoting employment opportunities that offer Emory students financial assistance and professional and personal development.

Student employment provides job skills and knowledge that can help students transition into their professional roles post-graduation. Mutually, the college benefits and grows with the vast talents, insight, and enthusiasm students bring to these roles.

This partnership aims to enhance student employment awareness among departments and students, build a centralized system for student employment opportunities through our online job board with Handshake, and increase the number and variety of on-campus employment opportunities.

Federal Work-Study jobs are only available to U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents who have a financial aid work-study allocation. 75% of funding is Federal through a partnership with the Office of Financial Aid, with the remaining 25% of funding coming from your department’s budget. CPD does not work with on- or off-campus employers hiring Federal Work Study students.

Please contact the Federal Work Study Advisors for information on how your department can hire a federal work study employee.
If a student is unsure about their eligibility for work-study, advise them to contact the Office of Financial Aid.

Regular Student Employment jobs are open to Emory students, regardless of financial aid package or citizenship. These roles are funded 100% through your department’s budget.
