Employers

Career and Professional Development (CPD) serves undergraduate students and recent alumni of three schools within Emory University:

  • Emory College of Arts and Sciences
  • Goizueta Business School
  • Oxford College

CPD welcomes companies interested in engaging with Emory’s unique and diverse students and alumni through a variety of opportunities. The Recruiting team is committed to helping you identify, connect with, and interview the best-fit candidates. Our staff will work with you to create a customized recruitment strategy that can include targeted events, posting jobs/internships, and more.

Employers may post-professional level full-time positions and internships for free on Handshake, our online job and internship management system.

  1. Visit joinhandshake.com
  2. Confirm your corporate email address and password and you will be prompted to either
    1. Search for your company and request to join their account – you will need to contact the owner of the company profile to have your request approved – the Emory Recruiting Team cannot approve your request, or
    2. Create a new company profile if your organization is not yet connected on Handshake
  3. Once approved, request to connect with Emory

Returning Users can log in at joinhandshake.com

  1. Login to your Handshake account at joinhandshake.com
  2. From the Home Page, click the first blue button ‘+ Post a Job
  3. Fill out the form, completing all four sections: Basics, Details, Preferences, and Schools
  4. Preview your Job Posting and Save
  5. Your request will be in Pending status until approved by the CPD Recruiting Team. Please allow up to two business days for approval

The Career Center welcomes employers to interact with Emory students through a variety of programming throughout the academic year. Events can be held on-campus or virtually.

Coffee Chats

Coffee chats are less formal conversations for employers to network with interested students and share information about their organizations, industry insights, recruiting processes, or any other professional topics. It also gives Emory alumni at your company the opportunity to return to campus, network with current students and promote your brand.

Register for Coffee Chats in Handshake:

  1. Login to your Handshake account at joinhandshake.com
  2. From the Home Page, click the middle blue button ‘+ Request an Interview’
  3. Select Emory as the school you would like to interview at and continue through the form, completing all four sections: Basics, Timeline, Jobs, and Review
  4. Under Timeline
    • Select your Preferred and Alternate Dates
    • Choose OPEN SCHEDULE under Preferred Timeline
    • Choose COFFEE CHATS under the Interview Slot Template.
  5. Under the Jobs section, select CREATE NEW JOB and enter the information you would like to students to know about your visit.

  6. Your request will be in Pending status until approved by the CPD Recruiting Team. Please allow up to two business days for approval


Info Sessions

Information Sessions are a great way for you to inform and educate students about your organization, current openings, your company culture, and industry nuances and trends. It also gives Emory alumni at your company the opportunity to return to campus, network with current students and promote your brand.

Register for an Information Session in Handshake:

  1. Login to your Handshake account at joinhandshake.com
  2. From the Home Page, click the third blue button ‘+ Create an Event’
  3. Fill out the Request Event form providing as much descriptive information as possible to market the event to Emory students and Save
  4. If you intend to hold your session for Emory students only (not inviting other schools), send an email to the CPD Recruiting Team to inform them of your pending request
  5. Your request will be in Pending status until approved by the CPD Recruiting Team. Please allow up to two business days for approval

When requesting an Information Session, please keep in mind the following:

  • All requests must be submitted through Handshake
  • Review our Recruiting Calendar for blackout dates prior to submitting your request
  • Information sessions can only be held during the fall and spring semesters
  • Approval is at the discretion of the CPD Recruiting Team and is based on availability and competing campus events – we will always work with our employers to find a successful date and time

Employer-Led Workshops

Professional development workshops are a great way for you to inform and educate students about your organization, current openings, your company culture, while keeping them aware of industry nuances and trends. It also gives Emory alumni at your company the opportunity to return to campus, network with current students and promote your brand.

How to Create an Interview Schedule on Handshake

  1. Login to your Handshake account at joinhandshake.com
  2. From the Home Page, click the middle blue button ‘Request an Interview’
  3. Select Emory as the school you would like to interview at and fill out the form, completing all four sections: Basics, Timeline, Jobs, and Review
  4. Be on the lookout for a receipt of your request from Handshake
  5. Your request will be in Pending status until approved by the Emory Recruiting Team. Please allow up to two business days for The Career Center to review and approve your interview schedule request

Our Career fairs are designed to connect talented Emory students with employers from different industries including consulting, government, non-profit, start-ups, and global corporations. Join us at our upcoming fairs to promote your next full-time or internship opportunity.

Register for a Career Fair in Handshake:

  1. Login to your Handshake account at joinhandshake.com
  2. Click ‘Fairs’ under the Meet section in the vertical navigation menu
  3. Type “Emory” in the search field
  4. Click on the title of the event you would like to attend
  5. This will open the event registration page where you can review the event details and register by clicking the blue button ‘+ Register
  6. After you fill out the event registration form, you will receive an confirmation and invoice
  7. Your registration will be in Pending status until your payment has been received,
