The Video Content Producer leads the creative development of the video production process from start to finish in close collaboration with other key Brand Development team members. This creative problem solver finds relevant story threads, sets creative direction, writes scripts, helps plan event content, directs talent, and communicates with the team each step of the way.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to creative execution by providing project leadership within a highly collaborative team. Projects include TV spots, marketing and promotional content, training videos, live broadcasts, etc.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to determine the purpose and scope.
- Cultivate concepts, write scripts, and develop storyboards to guide production, as required.
- Partner with the Production Manager and Project Manager on project timelines. Work with the Brand Program Manager to ensure that the content produced is aligned with the overall strategy.
- Partner with internal and external creative partners such as the Video Production Manager, editors, MGX specialists, designers, composers, audio designers, etc. to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and brand identity (visually and audibly).
- Demonstrate flexibility by dynamically moving between roles on projects as needed (director, producer, etc.).
- Conduct interviews and direct on-screen talent.
- Be aware of evolving marketing needs and provide creative execution ideas. Partner with team members across the organization to identify opportunities for engaging content creation.
Prerequisites:
- Must possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead brainstorms, communicate project vision within the team and to key stakeholders, and give critical creative project feedback.
- Must be creatively and technically-minded, understanding the ebbs and flows of the creative process.
- Must demonstrate strong writing skills and editorial acumen through exceptional timing and pacing, story organization, and tenacious ideation.
- Need to demonstrate the ability to give and receive creative/art direction and turn it into tangible work.
- Must have attention to detail – ensuring the content is thoroughly researched, of the highest quality, and is meeting branding requirements and goals.
- Must understand the production/post-production workflow.
- Working knowledge of key software (Digital Asset Management, Adobe Premiere, Resolve, etc.).
- Working knowledge of audio production, motion graphics, and special effects.
- Must stay current on trends, technology, and industry, keeping up with the ever-changing requirements of various social platforms.
